Captains Draft Series: A tournament series that used the less-played Captains Draft Mode, which limited team's hero picks for each respective game. Captains Draft 2.0 included a compendium, which helped fund the total prizepool. With a final tally of $276,742, it remains the highest community funded third-party tournament in the western scene. Captains Draft 4.0 was a LAN in Washington D.C. that remains the only official Dota 2 tournament played in a different game mode.

Midas Mode Tournaments: A fully custom-made game mode straight from the mind of SirActionSlacks. With inspiration from the stock market exchange, teams accumulate "Moonbucks" by winning or finishing unique bounties, which can then be spent on drafting heroes. Midas Mode 2 was on location in Colorado.
